Checked out the sea front first. It was picking up fast but the tide was getting up so went for the Esso option. As I arrived it pissed down big time but the wind was veering so I rigged the Rip and 4.7 which turned out to be fine - occasionally overpowered in fact. All a bit of a blast fest with not much technique, but hey ho, I'm not complaining and I can add a bit of finesse tomorrow as the forecast is looking o.k.
